WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO MAKE MONEY ONLINE?

Last month, there were 1,225,000 Google searches for Make Money Online.  And for the keywords “Work From Home” there were 2,740,000 searches.

That’s a big bloomin’ bunch of interest.  And what’s the driving force behind it?

• Lost wages
• Lost overtime
• Lousy job
• Want to spend more time with family
• Want to increase earnings
• Curiosity

Unfortunately, for most of the people behind those Internet searches, making money online will just be another pipe dream.  The sad truth is that 97% of the people who set out with high hopes of making money online — FAIL!

So what are the majority lacking that the other lucky 3% have?  Is it just dumb luck?

First let’s look at the typical journey — and I speak from experience here.  My name is Darren Todd and I’m a Tyke – that means I was born and raised in Yorkshire, England. I worked my way through many different jobs, and became a successful businessman, only to have it all come caving in when the worldwide economy cratered in 2008!  I’m sure you all remember the event.

At that point, like so many millions before me, I decided to look into this mystery called the Internet that I’d heard such good things about.  I spent hours, weeks, month after month, trying to figure it out for myself, reinventing the wheel.  I followed one false lead after another, always with the goal of getting rich quick.  I started to doubt I could ever make anything happen with it.  I was throwing good money after bad and not seeing any results.  My enthusiasm was burning out.  Maybe there are some people who can navigate the treacherous waters on the Internet, but I clearly wasn’t destined to become one of the lucky few!  Like so many others, I had three strikes against me:

• I didn’t have the information I needed.
• I didn’t understand the commitment I needed… and because of that
• I got discouraged.

Quite frankly, I would never have made it except that I got lucky – (jammy, we say in Yorkshire.)  The turning point for me was when I met a real, live Internet millionaire who took me under his wing.  That was the beginning of a 3-month apprenticeship where I put my nose to the grindstone and learned the truth of what it takes to make a decent living online.

Under my mentor’s guidance, I joined an organization called YourNetBiz, which gave me a Business-In-A-Box.  Instead of spinning my wheels, I bought into a ready-made career as an Internet marketer.
